General
What is Good Joseph?
Good Joseph is a financial education platform by Joseph. We publish practical guides, coaching topics, blog posts, and books to help you manage money, invest consistently, and build wealth without jargon.
You can browse free content on goodjoseph.com and in the Android app. Paid guides and member topics unlock after M-Pesa or card payment.
What is the difference between the app and the website?
The Android app is built for phone-based sign-in, M-Pesa STK payments, and push alerts when new lessons drop.
The website (goodjoseph.com) supports Google sign-in, book purchases, blog membership via Stripe or M-Pesa, and account billing. Both connect to the same Good Joseph account on our servers when you use the same identity.
Is Good Joseph financial advice?
No. Our content is general financial education only — not personalised investment, tax, or legal advice. Consult qualified professionals before making major financial decisions.
Android app
Where do I get the Good Joseph app?
Search for "Good Joseph" on Google Play once the app is published. You need Android with internet access.
How do I sign in on the app?
Use the same mobile number you paid with via M-Pesa. If you have not paid yet, complete a payment first (see Help Center → Pay for a guide or topic).
After your first eligible payment, set a password when prompted. On later visits, enter your phone number and password to sign in.
Are some guides free?
Yes. Free guides are marked in the app and open without payment. Paid guides show a price in KES and require M-Pesa STK Push before you can read the full content.
How do push notifications work?
After you sign in, you can allow notifications when Android asks. You can also manage this in the app under You → Settings → New lesson alerts.
We use notifications to tell you when Joseph publishes new guides or lessons. You can turn them off anytime in your device settings.
Payments (M-Pesa & cards)
How does M-Pesa STK Push work in the app?
When you buy a guide or topic, enter the Safaricom number that should receive the PIN prompt. Confirm the amount shown, then enter your M-Pesa PIN on your phone when Safaricom sends the STK message.
We never see or store your M-Pesa PIN. Access unlocks after Safaricom confirms the payment — usually within a minute.
I paid but do not have access yet
Wait up to two minutes and pull down to refresh the guide or topic screen. Make sure you paid with the same phone number you use to sign in.
If access still does not appear, email hello@goodjoseph.com with your phone number, payment time, amount, and M-Pesa confirmation message. See our Refund Policy policy for duplicate-charge cases.
Can I pay by card on the website?
Yes. On goodjoseph.com you can subscribe to member content with Stripe (card) or M-Pesa depending on what is offered at checkout. Manage card subscriptions from Account → Billing on the website.
Can I get a refund?
Digital content is generally non-refundable once access is granted. We do help with duplicate charges, payment errors, or missing access. Read the full Refund Policy policy or contact hello@goodjoseph.com.
Account & privacy
How do I change my password?
In the Android app, sign in and open your profile from You → Settings. Use the change-password option there.
Website users who sign in with Google manage access through Google; password change applies to phone-based app accounts.
How do I update my name?
Signed-in app users can edit their name in the profile screen. If your name came from an M-Pesa confirmation, you can replace it with what you prefer.
How do I delete my account or data?
Email hello@goodjoseph.com from the email or phone linked to your account and ask for deletion. We process requests manually. Some payment records may be kept where required by law. See Privacy Policy for details.
Where is your privacy policy?
Our Privacy Policy is at Privacy Policy. It explains what we collect on the app and website, including phone numbers, payment records, and push notification tokens.
Website & membership
Why does the website ask me to sign in with Google?
Member blog posts and Stripe subscriptions on goodjoseph.com use Google sign-in to create your Good Joseph account. This is separate from phone sign-in on the Android app unless we link them to the same backend profile in future.
How do I read member-only blog posts?
How do I buy books?
Browse Books on the website, add a title to your cart, and complete checkout with the payment method shown.
